100 people voted for the best photo. In fact, there were much more votes as we didn't have a system "one person one vote".
Regulation of the Photography Contest
MY NEIGHBORHOOD – MY COUNTRY
§ 1 Organizer and duration of the contest 1.1. The organizer of the Photography Contest, called later the Contest, is ZS Nr 11 in Jastrzębie Zdrój - called further the Organizer. 1.2. The duration of the contest : 15th October – 30th November 2009.
§ 2 Contest Theme 2.1. The theme is MY NEIGHBORHOOD – MY COUNTRY.
§ 3 Contest participation requirements 3.1. The contest is open to all students engaged on the project “Virtual Eden” 3.2. All entrants are obligated to complete, sign and return the declaration that works are taken by themselves and they are not the copyright infringement. Parents of the entrants will be required to accede to the participation of their children in the contest. All documents will be kept by the teacher who is responsible for the school contest.
§ 4 Rules of the Contest 4.1. The objects of the Contest are photographic works, called further the Works, made in photographic technique in one category: MY NEIGHBORHOOD – MY COUNTRY. The photo (work) must successfully represent characteristic places, towns, architecture or nature for a region, a country. 4.2 Works which do not belong to the categories mentioned above will not take part in the Contest. 4.3 Each participant can submit up to five photographs in 1200 x 1600 pixels resolution and saved as JPEG (a file format) on a CD. 4.4. The CDs won’t be given back. The organizer become the owner of the CDs with copyrights. 4.5. Entrants can only change contrast, brightness and colour of the photo. Photomontage and other changes are an equivalent of disqualification from the contest. 4.6. The teacher puts chosen works on the Net. 4.7. Completing the initial questionnaire means that the entrant agrees to publish, present and put on the Net and presents in different ways free of charge.
§ 5 Jury and prizes 5.1.The members of the jury will be chosen by the school organizer in each schools engaged on the project “Virtual Eden”. The jury will evaluate works considering: technical quality, expression of the art work and originality of the look. The best works will be put on Wiki website then students will vote for the best work.
